Warwick Officer Aaron Steere spotted a gray 2017 Chrysler 300 four-door traveling on Rte. 37 west April 17 at 11:43 p.m. that was swerving and trailing an odor of marijuana, stopped the driver and arrested him for possession of crack cocaine, according to the officer’s narrative in the report of the arrest listed in the Warwick Police Log.
Arrests in the RI Trooper Log between April 12 and April 16 in, nearby and involving Warwick included arrests for cocaine possession and possession of child pornography, most the result of traffic stops:
Warwick officer David Waddington was patrolling the area of Gillooly Drive when he spotted a man in the driveway at 235 Parkside Drive speaking to a woman in a Honda CRV with heavy front end damage, ultimately arresting the woman on cocaine possession and DUI charges.
Officer Aaron Kay was working a RIPTIDE (Rhode Island Police Teaming for Impaired Driving Enforcement) traveling east on Centerville Road Sept. 1 at 1:43 a.m. when he pulled over the driver of a black Acura sedan for speeding, arresting him on DUI and cocaine possession charges.
Warwick Police made 40 arrests between Aug. 31 and Sept. 7, including 11 for DUI, five for shoplifting, two for domestic assault, and one cocaine possession.
DEA Agents arrested a Providence man in Warwick Aug. 23 with the assistance of Warwick Police and Missouri State Police after he attempted purchasing what he believed to be a truck carrying heroin, fentanyl and cocaine.
Rhode Island State Police issued 364 citations in the process of responding to a variety of motor vehicle violations over the Memorial Day weekend, arresting 46 people, eight in Warwick on charges ranging from DUI to cocaine, heroin and marijuana possession.

WARWICK, RI — A Richmond driver struck a light pole with his 1999 Jeep Cherokee near 99 Veterans Memorial Drive, then continued to Lockwood Condominiums at 3524 West Shore Road Feb. 7 at 5:47 p.m., where police arrested him on outstanding warrants, adding later charges for cocaine and amphetamine possession.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Jose Ignacio Goris, 42, of Providence, convicted last year of attempting to buy and distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine in 2014 after making a deal with DEA agents at Warwick Mall, has been sentenced to five years in federal prison.
