WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests  Jan. 13 –  16 involving Warwick included charges for DUI, an arrest following shots fired in Providence, and cocaine possession.

Here are the basics on those arrests:

Rte. 95 stop, DUI, assault At 11:30 p.m., Jan. 13, troopers arrested Leila Encarnacao, 23, of 78 Lonsdale Avenue, Apartment #1, Pawtucket Rhode Island, for 1.) Assault on a Health Care Providers/Emergency Services Medical Personnel (Two Counts) 2.) Simple Assault (Three Counts) 3.) Disorderly Conduct, 4.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor or Drugs – B.A.C Unknown – First Offense, 5.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – Frist Offense, 6.) Driving with a Suspended License – Third Offense.

This arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in the City of Warwick. The subject was initially transported to Rhode Island State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks and then subsequently transported to Our Lady of Fatima Hospital by the Lincoln Fire Department for medical evaluation where she remained in custody throughout the morning.

Jefferson Boulevard, cocaine possession At 7:29 p.m. Jan. 14, troopers of the Traffic Safety Unit Emmanuel G. Monroe, 35, of 38 Phebe St., Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Possession of a Controlled Substance (Crack Cocaine) – Fifth Offense, 2.) Obstruction of an Officer in his Execution of Duty, and 3.) Superior Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on the original charge of Manufacturing/Possession/Delivery of Schedule I – V originating out of the Johnston Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in the City of Warwick. Monroe was transported to State Police Headquarters he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment where he will be presented as a bail and probation violator.

Rte. 95 stop, DUI At 8:14 p.m. Jan. 14, troopers of the Traffic Safety Unit, arrested Reinaldo Gonzalez, 41, of 44 Superior St., Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – B.A.C. Unknown – Second Offense, 2.) Driving with a Suspended License – Third Offense, and 3.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 South in the City of Warwick. Gonzalez was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment where he will be presented as a probation violator.

Rte. 295 stop, assault, domestic assault On Jan. 14, 2022 at 5:42 p.m., troopers arrested Jakeb Creta, 26, of 15 Congdon St., Apt. 2, Coventry, Rhode Island for: 1) Affidavit Arrest Warrant out of the Pawtucket Police Department for Domestic Simple Assault- 3rd Offense, Domestic Vandalism- 3rd Offense and Domestic Disorderly.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 295 in the City of Warwick. Subject was transported to State Police Headquarters, where he was processed, and later turned over to the Pawtucket Police Department.

Shots, Pursuit, illegal firearms possession At 3:12 a.m. Jan. 15, troopers arrested Robelin Velez-Saurez, 18, of 280 Pequot Ave., Warwick, RI for 1.) Obstruction, 2.) Providence Family Court Bench Warrant for Possession of a Firearm or Weapon by Minor, originating out of the Providence Police Department and 3.) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant out of the Rhode Island State Police ACI Investigations Unit for Escape from Custody.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop from a pursuit that stemmed from a shots-fired incident in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and held overnight pending arraignment.

Domestic assault On Jan. 16, at 9:19 a.m., troopers arrested Briana Guaba age 23 of 31 Lawrence Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island on a 1) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Domestic – Simple Assault out of the Providence Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 37 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters for processing and later turned over to the Providence Police Department.

Rte. 95 stop, DUI arrest At 10:45 p.m. Jan. 16, troopers arrested Omodo Lapay Eredia, 55, of 5 Cedar Pond Drive Apt. #12, Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – 1st Offense BAC Unknown and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. Eredia was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released to the custody of a responsible adult.
