Warwick, RI – This week’s Rhode Island State Police activity in and nearby Warwick involved arrests for cocaine and ecstasy possession, missing court on trespassing and suspended license charges, a bail violator and a man wanted for hit and run.

Troopers arrest, charge Warwick man with ecstasy, cocaine possession On Nov. 28, members of HIDTA arrested Robert J. Bailey, 24, of 212 Jefferson St., Warwick, Rhode Island, for: 1) Possession of Controlled Substance Classified as Schedule I (MDMA – commonly known as ecstasy); 2) Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance Classified as Schedule I (MDMA); 3) Possession of a Controlled Substance Classified as Schedule II (Cocaine); and 4) Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance Classified as Schedule II (Cocaine).

Bailey was processed at State Police Headquarters, arraigned by a Justice of Peace and held at the Adult Correctional Institutions pending a formal arraignment.

Centerville Road stop nabs WW man wanted for missing trespass charge hearing On Monday Nov. 28 at 1:19 p.m., troopers arrested Neil A. Horton, 27, of 12 Shippee Ave., Apartment B, West Warwick, Rhode Island on a Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on the original charge of Willful Trespass originating out of the Rhode Island State Police Wickford Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Centerville Road in Warwick. Horton was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and turned over to Superior Court.

Court Scofflaw arrested on Warwick Avenue At 8:49 a.m. Nov. 28, troopers arrested Joao Silva, 48, of 71 Mary Ave., Apartment #1, East Providence, RI for a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for sentencing on the charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating from the Warren Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Warwick Avenue in the City of Warwick. Silva was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by Justice of Peace Solomon and later released.

Bail violator on firearm charge arrested on Warwick Avenue At 8:49 a.m. Nov. 28, troopers arrested Stacie Nicholson, 39, of 16 William Ellery Pl., Apt. #1, Providence, RI for a Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for a 32F Violation of Bail on the charge of Carrying a Firearm during a Violent Crime originating from the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Warwick Avenue in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Women’s Intake Center.

Man wanted on Hit and Run warrant arrested on Elmwood Avenue At 12:24 p.m. Nov. 28, troopers arrested Daniel Caswell, 35, of 2020 Elmwood Avenue, Warwick, R.I. on a Fourth Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the charge of Leaving the Scene – Property Damage originating out of the Westerly Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on High Street in the Town of Westerly.
