RI Trooper Log: Chases on Rte. 95 End With Arrests for Larceny, Heroin, Cocaine

Editor’s note: The following Warwick arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest is the result of the charges against an individual, and does not indicate that person’s guilt or innocence.

Warwick, RI – State Police activity in and involving Warwick this week involved chases and stops on the stretch of Rte. 95 running through the city resulting in warrant arrests, as well as arrests for larceny and heroin and cocaine possession with intent to deliver charges:

Troopers arrest man for missed larceny charge hearing At 2:59 p.m. May 23, troopers arrested Kenneth Minier, 26, of 1375 Broad St., Apt. 3, Providence, Rhode Island, on a Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review for the original charge of Larceny originating from the Cranston Police Department.

The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution, Men’s Intake Center.

Traffic stop nabs man wanted for reckless driving At 3:10 p.m., troopers arrested Freddy Reyes, 23, of 41 Laura St., Providence, RI for 1.) Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Reckless Driving out of the Warwick Police Department and 2.) Second District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for the Ability to Pay on the original charge of Leaving the Scene of an Accident-Property Damage out of the Newport Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Huntington Avenue in the City of Providence. Subject was transported to State Police Headquarters, and later turned over to The Adult Correctional Institute.

Stop ends in arrest of man missing court on suspended license charge At 12:07 a.m., troopers arrested Steven Berdugo, 21, of 135 Bellevue Ave., Providence, RI for Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Pretrial Conference on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License out of the Warwick Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Manton Avenue in the City of Providence. Subject was transported to State Police Headquarters, and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institute – Men’s Intake Center.

Warwick man arrested on disorderly conduct charge On May 23, 2017, members of the Detective Bureau arrested Michael A. Pelland, 55, of 15R Bay Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island, for Disorderly Conduct. Pelland was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and arraigned in Third Division District Court before the Honorable Associate Judge Mary McCaffrey. He was released on $1,000.00 personal recognizance and referred to pre-trial services.

High speed chase on Rte. 95 ends in driver’s arrest of At 2:52 a.m. May 25, troopers arrested Jerell Reid, 26, of 88 Rutherglen Avenue, Providence, RI for 1) Eluding – High Speed Pursuit 2) Larceny – Under $1,500 3) Driving with a Suspended License.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle pursuit on Rte. 95 in the Town of Warwick. Subject was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third District Court.

Troopers arrest two men for larceny after Rte. 95 chase At 2:52 a.m. May 25 Troopers arrested Joshua Tangui, age 24, of 112 Rosevelt Street, Providence, Rhode Island for Larceny – Under $1,500. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle pursuit on Route 95 in the Town of Warwick. Tangui was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third District Court.

Troopers also arrested Dylan Pellegrino, 27, of 21 Pierce St., East Greenwich, Rhode Island for Larceny – Under $1,500. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle pursuit on Rte. 95 in the Town of Warwick. Pellegrino was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third District Court.

Warwick traffic stop ends with heroin, cocaine arrests At 2:36 a.m. May 27, troopers arrested Tare Buwee, age, 21, of 568 Weeden Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island for 1) Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance Schedule I- V (Heroin), 2) Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance Schedule I-V (Cocaine) and 3) Driving while in Possession of a Controlled Substance.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in the City of Warwick. Buwee was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment by a Justice of the Peace and then transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.

Troopers also arrested Jarman Paulino, 20, of 108 Fillmore St., Providence, Rhode Island for 1) Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance Schedule I-V (Heroin) and 2) Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance Schedule I-V (Cocaine). Paulino was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment by a Justice of the Peace. Paulino was transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center and held as a Probation Violator (Breaking and Entering charge) until arraignment in Third District Court on Tuesday morning.
