WARWICK, RI — Warwick Officers Jeffrey Taranto and Timothy Lipka were called to 5880 Post Road Sept. 16 at 2:25 a.m. for a report of a vehicle crashed on the median with injuries, finding a truck and its driver, both with serious damage, and charged the latter with DUI after transporting him to the hospital.
Officer Derek Mourato was driving north on Post Road when he saw a blue 2000 Mercury Mountaineer swerving in front of him, and pulled the driver over, ultimately arresting him on DUI and cocaine possession charges.
RI State Police report the arrest of the driver of the car on a DUI charge in Tuesday night’s Post Road crash at the Rte. 37 on-ramp, identifying her as Kimberly Madden, 32, of 34 Dartmouth St., Bristol, RI.

Warwick Officer Aaron Steere was traveling east on Rte. 37 near Post Road when he spotted a maroon 1999 Plymouth Minivan with expired inspection stickers and, he soon learned, plates registered to another car, so he stopped it and found the two women inside in possession of dozens of hypodermic needles, heroin, and seven cats in poor health.
Warwick Police received a call from a City employee about a man tearing the gutters from Apponaug Library at 3267 Post Road May 9 at 9:30 p.m., caught up with him at the intersection of Rte. 117 and Rte. 5, and arrested him after the witness identified him.
