WARWICK, R.I. — Officer Alfred Silveira was driving south on Jefferson Boulevard Dec. 4 at 9:27 p.m. when he stopped and charged a North Providence man with DUI after spotting his silver Toyota make a left into the Motel 6 lot without a turn signal, pull a U-turn, then continue in the center of both northbound lanes.
Warwick Police are asking the public’s help identifying a man and woman who stole a woman’s belongings from her car as she was being treated for a medical emergency at the Jefferson Boulevard Mobile station across the street from Motel 6 at about noon Wednesday.
A West Warwick man wanted on an arrest warrant ran from a WPD officer questioning him June 3 at 6:08 p.m. outside Motel 6 on Jefferson Boulevard, throwing away 2.7 grams of crack cocaine and an orange soda as he fled, but the policeman tackled and arrested him, charging him with resisting arrest and illegal drug possession.
Providence Police arrested a Providence man with the help of State Police and Warwick Police Tuesday night at 8 p.m. outside Doherty’s Ale House at 33 Jefferson Blvd., holding the man and one of two individuals with him at gunpoint, according to one witness.
On Feb. 27 at 7:53 a.m., Officer Aaron Steere stopped and arrested the driver of a gray 1990 Honda with MA plates registered to a purple 1990 Honda reported stolen in Providence after learning the driver, who didn’t have a valid license, had purchased the plates on Craigslist.com.
If you’re keeping a list of ill-advised activities, urinating in public next to the most notorious motel in the city while there’s an active warrant for your arrest deserves a spot on it.
