Officer Stephen Major was called to Centerville Road in response to a motorist’s report of a maroon Toyota swerving and endangering other drivers on Rte. 95 south before taking the Rte. 117 exit, locating it as it forced an SUV off the road, stopping and arresting the driver on a DUI charge.

State Police are still investigating a fatal SUV crash into a guardrail near Exit 10 on Rte. 95 South Sunday at abut 7:20 p.m. that may have been caused by a second SUV breaking ahead of it, leading the first driver to lose control.
A truck tire lying in the third travel lane on Rte. 95 north near the Rte. 117 ramps launched the rear of an SUV two feet into the air Tuesday morning at about 8:50 a.m. before the debris slid into the passing lane.
Motorists’ reports of silver Hyundai Elantra headed south on Rte. 95 north in Providence at 1:42 a.m. Sunday drew State Police, who forced the driver to stop, later charging him with DUI.

Warwick, RI – Traffic moved smoothly past Exit 8 on Rte. 95 at the end of Monday morning’s commute while construction on a new bridge over Rte. 2 continued, with live RI DOT cameras pointed at the action.
Warwick, RI – Starting during Monday’s commute, work on the Barton Corner Bridge over Rte. 2 is going to close exit 8 on Rte. 95 south (affecting access to Rte. 2 north only; access to Rte. 2 south will be available) and and the Rte. 95 south on-ramp from Rte. 2 North. Those changes will last for about 11 days, according to the DOT.
