RI Trooper Log: Cocaine Possession, DUI Hit & Run, No-Contact Order Violator

Warwick, RI – Rhode Island State Police made several  Warwick-related arrests this week, including people wanted for violating a no-contact order, DUI, cocaine possession, and a hit and run driver troopers tracked back to his Warwick home.

No contact order violator arrested in West Warwick On Wednesday June 8 at 12:00 a.m., troopers arrested Kyle Curran, 26, of 8 Lachance St., West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Superior Court Bench Warrant on the original charge of Violation of a No Contact Order – 3rd Offense originating from the West Warwick Police Department, 2.) Superior Court Bench Warrant on the original charge of Violation of a No Contact Order – 3rd Offense out of the West Warwick Police Department, 3.) Superior Court Bench Warrant for AG Request 32F on the original charge of Violation of a No Contact Order – 3rd Offense out of the West Warwick Police Department, 4.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Domestic Disorderly Conduct out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Pond Street in the Town of West Warwick. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institutions.

Hit and Run Driver tracked to Warwick home, arrested At 10:20 a.m. June 8, troopers arrested Eric R. Krause, 43, of 1 Jambray Ave., Warwick, RI, for 1) Duty to Stop – Accident Resulting in Damage to Attended Vehicle and 2) Obstructing an Officer in Execution of Duty.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident investigation and subsequently locating the subject at his residence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to Sixth District Court for arraignment.

Providence driver caught with cocaine on Jefferson Boulevard At 11:16 a.m. June 9, troopers arrested Daisy Perez, 36, of 885 Atwells Ave., Providence, RI on a 1.) Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving on a Suspended License originating out of the Central Falls Police Department and 2.) Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I-V (Cocaine).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the State Police Head Quarters where she was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment.

Court scofflaw on assault charge nabbed on Rte. 95 At 10:45 a.m. June 8, troopers arrested Casey Douglas, 20,of 10 Whipple Ave., Barrington, Rhode Island on a 1.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on Ability to Pay on the initial charge of simple assault originating from the North Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and turned over to Third District Court.

Court scofflaw on shoplifting charge arrested on Rte. 95 At 3:25 p.m. Wednesday June 8, troopers arrested Jamar Jones, 21, of 637 Post Road, Warwick, on a 1.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on Ability to Pay on the initial charge of Misdemeanor Shoplifting originating from the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institutions.

Hit and Run suspect also charged with DUI On Wednesday June 8, at 10:05 p.m., troopers arrested Maxwell McCaughey, 28, of 93 Stillwater Road, Smithfield, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor/ Drugs- B.A.C .10 -.15 (.142) (.145) 2.) Operating on a Suspended License 3.) Duty to Stop for Accident Resulting in Damage to Attended Motor Vehicle (Two Counts).

The arrest was the result of troopers investigating a hit and run motor vehicle accident on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, and held overnight pending morning arraignment.

Court scofflaw on domestic assault collared on Lee Ave. At 12:55 p.m. June 10, troopers arrested Michael Weyde, 18, of 135 Hawksley Ave., Apartment #1, Warwick, Rhode Island for a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the charge of Domestic Simple Assault originating from the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Lee Avenue in Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to Third Division District Court.
