Veterans Memorial Drive Going Two-Way Today in Apponaug

WARWICK, R.I. — Don’t forget, Apponaug drivers — Veterans Memorial Drive and Veterans Memorial Drive extension go two-way today, allowing this morning’s commuters to bypass village traffic running from Toll Gate and Centerville Roads to T.F. Green Airport, and vice-versa.

Motorists are reminded to yield to traffic already in the circle as they approach each roundabout. The new Veterans Memorial Drive and Veterans Memorial Drive Extension has a center median to improve safety and reduce congestion.   Temporary delineators are planned to be installed to indicate to motorists that they need to use the roundabouts to reverse direction and access side streets rather than making left hand turn.
