WARWICK, RI — The Warwick City Council meets Wednesday, Jan. 18 at City Hall, 7 p.m. to consider second passage of a resolution canceling their authority to borrow $600,000 for energy conservation investment in school properties, among other items.
The Warwick City Council approved new littering penalties and Packard Avenue parking restrictions during their Monday night meeting at City Hall, holding a a vote on re-bonding $43.5 million until resuming session in 2015.
December’s halfway over, but there’s another City Council meeting before Christmas, and they’ve got new littering penalties, Packard Avenue parking restrictions and a re-bonding of $43.5 million in city debt on deck.
Standard and Poor’s Rating Services re-affirmed Warwick’s AA bond rating last week, solidifying Mayor Scott Avedisian’s recent support of a $5 million bond to resurface city roads.
