The Providence County Grand Jury has reported an indictment charging Karl Almgren, 31, of 25 Custer St., Warwick, with three counts of first degree sexual assault, one count of simple domestic assault, one count of domestic disorderly conduct, and one count of domestic refusal to relinquish a telephone.
It is alleged that on or about dates between August, 2014 and October, 2014, Almgren on multiple occasions sexually assaulted a woman, according to RI Attorney General Peter Kilmartin’s office.  The report also alleges that  between October 21, 2014 and October 25, 2014, Almgren assaulted the woman and refused to relinquish a telephone that was needed for an emergency.
The alleged events took place in Cranston, and Cranston Police conducted the investigation.
Almgren was arraigned in Providence County Superior Court April 9, 2015. He is scheduled for a pre-trial conference on the charges in Superior Court May 4.
