Kent County Relay for Life, festival fundraiser for cancer cure research, runs Saturday 10 a.m. till 10 p.m. with food, games, music & Miss RI Allie Coppa.
The inaugural 2017 Kent County Relay for Life, the annual festival fundraiser for research into cures, treatment and services for cancer patients, starts at 4 p.m. Friday at West Warwick High School’s track, lasting through 8 a.m. Saturday, assembling a bounce house, frozen T-shirt contest, raffles, food, lawn games and a concert by pop rock-country singer Megan Harney.
June’s just gotten started, and Warwick already has important things brewing, starting with the latest meeting in a series of budget hearings to determine the city’s budget for FY2016.
About 200 people visited Warwick City Park Sunday, May 3 for the first state-wide Bark For Life, helping to raise $21,000 for the American Cancer Society.
