Warwick Fire Chief Edmund Armstrong, 61, who had made no secret of his aim to see the Potowomut Fire Station built during his tenure, was clearly happy during its grand opening Dec. 1, and still seemed content days after announcing his retirement a month later.

On the outside, the new Potowomut Fire Station appears all but complete, but interior work and final cleaning will take about three more weeks, said Warwick Fire Chief Edmund Armstrong.
The Potowomut Fire Station, which broke ground in October 2014, is on time to finish as planned this coming fall, according to Warwick Fire Chief Edmund Armstrong.
Warwick, RI – The Warwick City Council approved a consent agenda item Monday night awarding a bid for $2.8 million to Ahlborg Construction Corp. to build the Potowomut Fire Station.
