WARWICK, RI — The Warwick City Council voted unanimously to ask Mayor Scott Avedisian to keep the Buttonwoods Community Center open during its Feb. 22 meeting, but plans to shutter services at the center continued as seniors who frequent the facility were directed to the Pilgrim Senior Center.

WARWICK, R.I. — Warwick Police report the boy arrested for calling in a bomb threat to Comprehensive Community Action Plan (CCAP) sites, including Buttonwoods Community Center in Warwick, on Tuesday, was arraigned today at 11 a.m. in Kent Count Family Court.

WARWICK, R.I. — The Buttonwoods Community Center has closed along with three Comprehensive Community Action Plan (CCAP) youth GED/job training sites in Cranston, Providence and Pawtucket following an automated call to an employee that one of the organization’s offices would be bombed today.
