Warwick, RI – This week’s Rhode Island State Police activity in and nearby Warwick between Aug. 15 and Aug. 17 included several arrests of court scofflaws, a hit and run and DUI arrest:

Traffic stop ends in DUI arrest on Rte. 95 At 12:32 a.m. Aug. 17, troopers arrested Tyler Markov, age 24, of 117 Ogden Ave., Warwick, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor/Drugs 1st Offense- B.A.C. Unknown, 2) Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 , in the City of Providence. Markov was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed and held over night pending a morning arraignment.

Traffic stop nabs scofflaw on domestic assault charge At 11:30 a.m. Aug. 17, troopers arrested David Fera, age 49, of 25 Morgan Avenue, Warwick, RI, for a Third Division District Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay for the charge of Domestic Simple Assault originating from the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on West Shore Road, in the City of Warwick. Fera was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and later transported to Third Division District Court for Arraignment.

Stop on Bald Hill Road ends in scofflaw’s arrest on domestic assault charge At 1:35 p.m Aug. 17, troopers arrested Michael Lauber, 48, of 231 Union Ave., Providence, RI, for 1.) Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear / Ability to Pay on the orignal charge of Domestic – Disorderly Conduct, 2.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on the original charge of Domestic – Felony Assault, and 3.) Family Court Reciprocal Body Attachment.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Bald Hill Road in the City of Warwick. Lauber was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and turned over to Sixth District Court.

Driver arrested for missing court on suspended license charge At 3:10 p.m., troopers arrested Matthew Parrillo, 33, of 670 Park Ave. Cranston, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay for the charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Johnston Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and later arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.

Driver stopped, arrested for missing court on disorderly conduct charge On Aug. 17, 2016, at 3:36 PM, Troopers arrested Phoeueth Kim, 34, of 23 Holman St, Attleboro MA for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for ability to pay on the original charge of disorderly conduct, originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Broad Street in Cumberland. Kim was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.

WPD, troopers cooperate on hit and run arrest At 11:30 a.m. Aug. 15, troopers arrested Kevin Freitas, 24, of 131 Perry St., Apt. 2, Central Falls, RI, for Duty to Stop – Accident Resulting in Damage to Attended Vehicle. This arrest was the result of a barracks investigation by Trooper O’Neill and the subject being taken into custody by the Warwick Police Department.

Freitas was transported to the Lincoln Barracks where he was processed and later transported to Sixth District Court for arraignment.
