Editor’s note: The following RI arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.
RI Trooper Log arrests March 18 through March 23 involved RI St. Patrick’s DUIs late St. Patrick’s Day and the following morning.
Here are the basics on those RI State Police arrests:
Traffic stop Rte. 146, missed court, At 6:01 p.m. March 18, troopers arrested Paul Pereira-Monteiro, 30, of 467 Farmington Ave., Cranston, RI for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Warwick Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 146 in the Town of North Smithfield. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released.
Rte. 95 stop, missed court On Sunday, March 19, at 12:10 a.m., troopers arrested Darryl Henries, 53, of 460 Pine St., Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Third Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on the charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Warwick Police Department and 2.) Sixth Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on the charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Pawtucket Police Department.
This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95, in the City of Pawtucket. Henries was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, and then turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.
Missed court, Rte. 95 stop At 11:10 a.m. March 19, troopers arrested Marc Jones, 36, of 250 Gatlin St., Providence, RI for an active Third Division District Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on the original charge Driving with a Suspended/ Revoked License originating out of Scituate Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Jones was transported to State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released.
Rte. 95 stop, disorderly conduct At 3:51 p.m. March 19, troopers arrested Antwan Stuckey, 30, of 150 Stamford Ave., Apt. #5, Providence, RI for Disorderly Conduct.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Stuckey was transported to State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released.
Missed court, shoplifting At 7:02 a.m. March 19, troopers arrested Richard Gately, 39, of 65 Wachusett Road, Franklin, Massachusetts for 1) Third District Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on the original charge Misdemeanor Shoplifting originating out of Cranston Police Department and 2) Possession of a Schedule I to V Controlled Substance – Under 10 Grams (Fentanyl). The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick.
Gately was transported to State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed and then transported at Third District Court where he will be presented as a probation violator pending special arraignment.
Reckless driving, eluding, shoplifting, larceny At 4:25 p.m. March 20, troopers arrested Christopher Vivier, 45 of 46 Stone St., Coventry, Rhode Island for 1.) Reckless Driving 2.) Eluding A Law Enforcement Officer with A Motor Vehicle 3.) Obstructing Officer In Execution Of Duty. 4.) Third Division Bench Warrant on the original charge of Shoplifting originating out of the Warwick Police Department 5.) Affidavit Arrest Warrant for the charge of Habitual Offender- Shoplifting/ Larceny-Felony originating out of the Warwick Police Department. 6.) Affidavit Arrest Warrant for the charge of Habitual Offender- Shoplifting/ Larceny-Felony originating out of the Coventry Police Department 7.) Fugitive From Justice for Failure to Appear for Probation Hearing on the original charge of Larceny Over $1,200, origination out of Massachusetts Bristol County Sheriff Office 8.) Driving With Suspended/ Revoked License – Fourth and Subsequent Offense.
Vivier was then transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and transport to the Adult Correctional Institute- Mens Intake.
Missed court, suspended license At 11:20 p.m. March 21, troopers arrested Angela Wilkinson, 46, of 91 W. Warwick Av, West Warwick, Rhode Island for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for $2,000.00 With Surety Failure To Appear For Arraignment on 3/14/23 for the original charge of Driving With Suspended/ Revoked License originating out of State Police Headquarters.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Centerville Road in the City of Warwick. Ms. Wilkie.nson was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where she was processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution- Women’s Intake Center.
Missed court, obtaining money, false pretenses At 11:47 a.m. March 21, troopers arrested Anthony Edward Ray Clarke Sr., 57, of 33 Pinehurst Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island on a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Obtaining Money Under False Pretense – Over $1500. The arrest was the result of Clarke responding to the barracks to turn himself in. Clarke was processed, arraigned and later released.
Domestic Assault, Strangulation At 7:20 a.m. March 22, Troopers arrested Kenneth Douchette, 46, of 36 Bethel Road, Warwick, for an Affidavit Arrest Warrant for 1) Domestic Violence – Simple Assault, 2) Domestic Assault by Strangulation, 3) Domestic Assault – Violation of District Court Protection Order, 4) Domestic Assault – Violation of District Court Protection Order, and 5) Refusal to Relinquish or to Damage or to Obstruct out of the Wickford Barracks. The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation by Trooper Downing. The subject was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed and then arraigned at Third District Court.
