Council Meets April 6 for Concealed Carry Revision, School Finance Talk

Warwick, RI – The Warwick City Council meets Monday, April 6, 7 p.m. to vote on first passage of seven resolutions, including one setting less stringent concealed carry permit rules, right after they hear from Anthony Ferrucci, Finance Director of the Warwick School Department on the status of the school district’s finances.

After Ferrucci’s presentation, the Council will consider the following resolutions:

PCO-7-15 – Concealed Carry Permit rules revisions establishing “self-defense” as the prime criteria for determining need when the city’s Public Safety Committee considers granting permits for people to carry concealed firearms.

PCO-28-14 – An un-drafted ordinance governing permits for food trucks in the city.​

PCR-09-15 – Purchase and Install 3 Handicap Door Openers at Pilgrim Senior Center

​PCO-10-15 – All payments of taxes received by mail shall be credited to a taxpayer’s account as of the date of the United States Postal Service postmark on the envelope containing the payment.

PCO-11-15 – Updating building permit fees.

PCR-36-15 – Hiring Collard Enterprises, Inc. 19 Highland Ave. , Coventry for $294,800.00 in fire alarm upgrades at multiple buildings.

PCR-24-15 – Several Amendments to the enabling legislation empowering  theCity Council Sewer Review Commission
