Warwick, R.I. — Warwick Police are asking people to take care with their cars and security as they seek information about a man caught on surveillance video they believe may be involved in a rash of vehicle break-ins in the northern part of the city.

Warwick Police reported on their Facebook page that cars were broken into on Fairway Lane, Zachariah Place, Lakecrest Drive and Edgehill Road just after midnight on Friday, Feb. 26. The department has posted a few photos of a man they believe may be involved. His car is likely a 1995-1999 Nissan Maxima with a moon roof, rear spoiler, left front end damage and no front plate, police report.

Among the items stolen from the cars in the area was a credit card, used that night at 0445 a.m. at the Dunkin Donuts at 1678 Post Road.

“You can help us help you in two ways: if you know or see this guy and car let us know, and always be observant in your neighborhoods,”  Warwick Police wrote. Also, the department warned people to lock doors and remove valuable from parked cars.

Police encouraged people with tips to contact Det Jeff Viveiros at 401-468-4248 or on the WPD Facebook page through IM.
