Local police are seeking leads on two shoplifting cases from Sept. 8, one involving a woman (left) and the other involving two men (top and bottom right).
WARWICK, RI — Warwick Police published two Facebook posts this week seeking information on a pair of shoplifting cases that occurred within three hours of each other at the same store.

In the first case, two males entered the Macy’s at Warwick Mall at about 3 p.m. on Sept, 8 and took various items valued at about $260. Police say the two men ran away when the store’s loss prevention staff approached them.

The second incident happened the same day just after 5:30 p.m., when police say a woman took about $175 in merchandise from the same Macy’s store. She fled on foot with a male companion when approached by loss prevention staff, and is suspected of stealing two DKNY brand fanny packs, jewelry, and perfume valued at about $174.

Anyone with information on these cases is asked to contact Det. Adam Arico at (401) 468-4267 or [email protected]
