WARWICK — Warwick Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a woman caught on video surveillance who entered the Sunoco Gas Station located at 2003 Post Road Sunday at 2:49 a.m., threatened the clerk by insinuating she had a gun to demand an undisclosed amount of money before leaving in a silver SUV.
Warwick Police Department responded to the station for the report of a robbery at that location. The clerk reported a female subject had entered the store, selected a drink from one of the displays, went up to the counter and asked for a box of cigarettes and then demanded money. The the suspect insinuated she had a weapon while she demanded the money, the clerk reported. The clerk identified the robber as a white female, approx. 5’-5”, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and grey sweatpants. The woman then exited the store and got into a silver SUV type vehicle, fleeing south on Post Road with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police reported they conducted an extensive area following the report, and secured video surveillance of the suspect.
