WPD Promotes Eleven Officers at Warwick City Hall

WARWICK, RI — Mayor Scott Avedisian, Col. Stephen M. McCartney and members of the Board of Public Safety celebrated the promotion of two Warwick Police officers to sergeant, two sworn in as Third Class Officers and seven as probationary officers Tuesday at Warwick City Hall.

During the ceremony at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers, at the 3275 Post Road building, Thomas A. DeGregorio and Nicholas A. Reay were each promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

Michael T. Isherwood and Jonathan M. Reiff were sworn in as Third Class Officers.

Matthew T. Caradimos, Robert B. Collins, Anthony D’Abrosca, Maxwell A. Neiley, Thomas R. Paine, Richard P. O’Dell and Joseph R. Tanner were also sworn in as Probationary Officers.

 The Warwick Police Honor Guard posted the colors, and Mayor Avedisian administered the oath of office. Father Robert Marciano, the department chaplain, gave the invocation and benediction.
