WPD Log: Arrests for DUI, Assault, Illegal Weapons

WARWICK — Warwick Police made 82 arrests between April 1 and April 12 on charges including 13 for outstanding warrants, two for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, three for domestic assault, one simple assault, one for aggravated assault, one for throwing objects at police, and one for possession of illegal weapons (not firearms).

Of the 82 arrests made during this period, Warwick Police recorded 49 of them on their website. Below are the details of a few of those arrests:

  • At 1:52 p.m. April 5, Warwick Police arrested David C. Dunam, 47, of Curran Road, Cumberland, at 99 Veterans Memorial Drive, charging him with simple assault.
  • At 1:30 a.m. April 5, Warwick Police arrested John A. Mahoney, 44, of 55 Shamrock Dr., Warwick, at 1599 Post Road, Grid Iron Ale House & Grille, charging him with simple assault.
  • At 8:27 a.m. April 10, Warwick Police arrested Vesper S. Valadilenebaudelaire, 27, of 14 Harding Ave., at Kent County Memorial Hospital, charging him with aggravated assault in the assault of health care providers.
  • At 3:11 p.m. April 11, Warwick Police arrested Devon A. Pontes, 20, of 83 Dayton Ave., Warwick, at 1570 Warwick Ave., charging him with disorderly conduct, throwing an object at police, and vandalism.
