Editor’s note: The following Warwick, RI area arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

WARWICK, RI —  Arrests in the RI Trooper Log this week  in, nearby and involving Warwick included arrests for DUI and warrants for obstruction and forgery, all the result of traffic stops:

Caller alerts troopers to erratic driver, DUI arrest At 7:45 p.m. April 8, troopers arrested Jared Vassallo, 29, of 194 Meadow Lane, Middletown, Rhode Island, for Driving Under the Influence of Liquor and/or Drugs/ 1st Offense – B.A.C. Unknown and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a call to the barracks in reference to an erratic operator on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. Vassallo was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing, arraigned by the Justice of Peace, and released to a responsible adult.

Traffic stop nabs driver wanted on warrant At 10:09 a.m. April 9, troopers arrested Carolina Suarez, 26, of 55 Ridgeway Ave., Unit #4, Providence, RI, on an Affidavit Arrest Warrant for the charge of Obstructing an Officer in Execution of Duty, originating from the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Suarez was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and turned over to the Providence Police Department.

Traffic stop ends in driver’s arrest on forgery charge At 12:02 a.m. April 11, troopers arrested Bryan Vargas, 24, of 37 Vohlander St., Warwick, RI for 1.) Forgery and Counterfeiting of Registration Plates, 2.) Giving False Documents to a Public Official, 3.) Driving with a Suspended License 3rd or Subsequent Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Main Street in West Warwick. Vargas was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, and held overnight pending morning arraignment.
