WFD Puts Out House Fire on Levesque Street

Editor’s note: Bethany Hashway contributed to this report.

Warwick, RI – Warwick Firefighters responded to a call for a house fire this morning at 9 a.m., putting out the fire with no injuries to the occupants.

All of the people inside the building had been evacuated by the time firefighters arrived to fight the fire, which created heavy smoke that poured from the windows and doors as firefighters put it out, according to Assistant Fire Chief Bruce Dooley.

RIBNS tweeted that the fire was mostly knocked down by about 9:37 a.m. after about 32 minutes of work. Northeast Fire Photos has posted a gallery of photos from the fire.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Warwick Fire Department’s Assistant Fire Marshall.
