WARWICK, RI — Ptlm. Paul Wells and his K-9 partner, Fox, have been veterans of parades, drug investigations, guarding the City Council and tracking down weapons for a combined 29 years.

Now, they’ve retired.

“After 29 years of service with the City of Warwick, K9 Officer Paul D. Wells and K9 Fox have officially retired.” Warwick Police posted on their Facebook page Saturday. “Thank you for your service. Best of luck to Paul and Fox in their retirement from the police department and for their next chapters in life. Stay safe!”
