WARWICK, RI  — Water pressure has been restored to much of the city after a water line break along Rte. 95 at Jefferson Boulevard cut water from several homes just after Midnight Tuesday.

Warwick Police Lt. Eric Falkofsky said many people began reporting in that their water service was returning at about 6:30 a.m.

Warwick Police began receiving cals about the lack of water service at about eight minutes past midnight. Falkofsky said the Warwick Water Department has been working on the problem since then, and just reported that they had managed to restore service around the line causing the trouble.

There was no immediate information on the nature of the break, Falkofsky said, as water department personnel are still working to fix the problem with the line.
