“Resilience; a Juried Exhibit for Native American Artists”

Warwick Center for the Arts is excited to announce our upcoming exhibit entitled, “Resilience; a Juried Exhibit for Native American Artists.” This exhibit is a collaborative partnership between the Warwick Center for the Arts, Tomaquag Museum, and RISCA’s Atrium Gallery Travelling Exhibits. The original artwork ranges from installations to freestanding pieces as well as 2D and 3D media.  The curator, Angel Beth Smith of the Narragansett Tribe, is a professional artist with more than 30 years experience providing artistic content, teaching, and marketing support to academic institutions, churches, and private organizations. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Warwick Center for the Arts, 3273 Post Road, Warwick.

The Newport Jazz Festival

The Newport Jazz Festival is back! Enjoy three days of music at the return of the Newport Jazz Festival. Due to COVID-19 capacity restrictions, Newport Jazz is doing things a little differently this year, focused on three intimate days of amazing Jazz performances and surprise collaborations at Fort Adams. Tickets start at $79. Noon to 8 p.m. Fort Adams, 90 Fort Adams Drive, Newport.

Food Truck Friday at Roger Williams Park

The West Warwick Civic Center and Rockwell Amusements are bringing back the I Love America Days Carnival July 29 to August 1. Fireworks will be held Saturday, July 31 at 9:45 p.m. (rain date is August 1). 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., 100 Factory St., West Warwick.
