WARWICK, RI — The Warwick Teachers Union ratified two collective bargaining agreements negotiated during an Oct. 16 mediation session during their Nov. 21 meeting, WTU President Darlene Netcoh reports.

The agreements, Contract mediation attorney Vincent Ragosta reported at the time, focus on two labor contracts, one covering 2015 – 2016 and 2016-2017, then a second covering 2017-2018, 2018-2019, and 2019-2020.

Netcoh said the two contracts the WTU approved were for 2015-2017 and 2017 – 2020.

The Warwick School Committee unanimously approved the agreement during their Nov. 15 meeting in the Toll Gate High School auditorium.

Details of the agreements were not immediately available, but Ragosta stated on Oct. 20 that the teacher – district negotiations hinged on education, not compensation.
