WARWICK, RI  —Plans for the 2019 City calendar are underway and the City of Warwick has invited residents to submit photos for consideration to be added to it.

“The photos that are featured every year really help to showcase our City in a positive light,” Mayor Joseph Solomon said. “They are a great reminder to our residents of all that Warwick has to offer.”

Photos should reflect Warwick’s history, beauty, character, or events that make the community so special. Anyone with photos of Warwick’s events, historic locations, nature scenes or its people is invited to submit them for consideration. Each month will feature a different photo, so only 12 photos will be selected.

Digital photos should be an 8 x 10 version, 300 dpi. Those with hard copies of photos are asked to submit and 8 x 10 print, which will be scanned. Or, photos may be burned onto a CD in tiff, epf or jpeg format.

Submissions should include your name, address, and phone number, along with a brief description, the name of the photographer (if he or she is not the person submitting the photo), and location of the scene. Names of those whose phots are selected will be included in the calendar.

Officials ask photographers to not submit your original photo, as its return cannot be guaranteed.

Photos may be emailed to: [email protected]. (Please note that the subject line should state: calendar photo submission) or may be dropped off at or mailed to: Department of Public Works, attn: Christopher Beneduce, 925 Sandy Lane, Warwick, RI 02889, during normal business hours. Deadline to submit photos is Friday, August 31, 2018.

Photographers should also be aware that the City’s Department of Tourism, Culture and Development is always looking for good photos of Warwick. If you’d like to submit photos to that department as well, the format and request for photograph information is the same, but email the pictures to [email protected]or drop off or mail them to her at: Warwick City Hall, 3275 Post Road, Warwick, RI  02886.
