Warwick School Committee: New Officers Elected, Assistant Superintendent Advice

WARWICK, RI — The Warwick School Committee will elect its officers for 2020 at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday night at Warwick Veterans Middle School, followed by an executive session including discipline of two students and a Warwick Teachers Union grievance alleging a violation of a 30% staffing ratio in Collaborative Classrooms.

 

The executive session will also discuss legal advice on new state laws for hiring, ( 16-2-9 and 16-2-11) as well as legal advice concerning the appointment of/contract for an executive director of school programs, also referenced as an Assistant Superintendent in an organizational chart included in the meeting’s documents.
