Warwick, RI — The search is officially on for the city’s fifth director of its public library network following the issuance of a job search announcement on the American Library Association JobLIST website.
According to the job description, the city is seeking “a visionary, who encourages innovative thinking in a collegial, team atmosphere.”
Helming a four-location system with an annual budget of $2.5 million, the credentials for the new director position include a Master’s degree and eight or more years of experience in library management.
Warwick is offering a salary of $92,000 pus benefits for the job. Applications submitted before Oct. 10 will be given preference.
This year’s search is being managed by Hertzell-Mika Consulting, which posted the full description and application instructions online.
Current Director Diane Greenwald is retiring later this year.
