Bridgework and Paving and Lane Shifts, O My!

Rte 37 at 95

Warwick, RI — Various locations in the city are scheduled for lane restrictions and roadwork on Wednesday, the Rhode Island Department of Transportation announced.

Post Road heading through the area of the Apponaug Circulator Project will have two lanes closed, beginning at 6:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., from the areas of West Shore Road to Veteran’s Memorial Drive and Post Road to Greenwich Avenue.

Drivers are advised that the roadway will be rough in places.

In unrelated work, the right lane of I-295 at Rte. 2 is scheduled for closure for bridgework starting at 9 p.m. Wednesday night until 5 a.m. Thursday. RIDOT also announced that the Rte. 2 to I-295 on-ramp will also be closed.

Take the alternate route, Rte. 2 to Rte. 37 West.

Later this week, Exits 14 [Rte. 37] and 15 [Jefferson Blvd.] are scheduled for overnight closure starting at 10 p.m. Thursday. Detours will be in place.
