WARWICK, RI — In the latest installment of the WPD log , Warwick Police made 33 arrests between March 9 and March 16, including four for DUI, four for shoplifting, one for simple assault, and one for larceny.
- On March 8, A 50-year-old Cranston driver led a Warwick officer on a chase that criss-crossed Rte. 295 north and south after the officer attempted to stop him in the Sears parking lot following the man’s alleged shoplifting of a $399 tool set.
- On March 13, 1:30 p.m., the WPD arrested Wilson M. Vitali, 22, at 200 Suburban Parkway, charging him with first degree sexual assault/rape.
- On March 13, 1:58 a.m. the WPD chased, caught and arrested a driver who had stopped his car in the middle of Airport Road, apparently sleeping, then sped away at 2:18 a.m. when an officer approached.
