Looking for something to do this weekend in Warwick?

We’ve got a handy list of upcoming events in the city, including the Gaspee Days Arts & Crafts fair in historic Pawtuxet.

May 23, 2014:

Military Hiring Fair, 11 a.m.

A number of local employers will be on hand for the annual ‘Hero to Hired’ Military Hiring Fair at the Radisson Hotel, 2081 Post Road. Click here to register.

Improv Night, 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Warwick Museum of Art in Apponaug [next to City Hall] hosts Bring Your Own Improv, starting at 7 p.m. with Family-Friendly [PG-rated] performances and continuing at 9 p.m. with Adult-Themed [R-rated] acts. Tickets are $7 for adults, $3 for kids under 13 and seniors. More information and tickets sales at bringyourownimprov.com

May 24, 2014:

Gaspee Days Arts & Crafts Fair, 10 a.m.

As part of the yearly celebration of Gaspee Days, Pawtuxet Village will be packed with artisans and crafters of all kinds this weekend for the Arts & Crafts Fair. Browse the wide selection of products, and pop in at one of the neighborhood’s excellent restaurants and cafes. The event is scheduled to run Saturday and Sunday until 5 p.m., Memorial Day until 4:30 p.m.

Gaspee Days Block Party Fundraiser, 6 p.m.

Asprey Boat House at Pawtuxet Park is the location for Saturday night’s block party fundraiser, with proceeds supporting the Gaspee Committee. Online tickets available for $5. Ages 21+ only.

May 26, 2014:

Memorial Day Parade, 9 a.m.

Bishop Hendricken High School is the start point for the Memorial Day Parade, which finishes at Veterans Memorial Park [in front of Warwick Vets High School] for a brief remembrance ceremony.

May 27, 2014:

Cruze Night, 4 p.m.

Celebrating its 13th year, the Oakland Beach Cruise Night includes lots of examples of classic rides, plus food vendors, collectibles, and music by DJ Doc. More info at the Cruise Night Facebook page.
