WICKFORD BARRACKS: Warrant arrests for domestic assault, failing to appear

Tuesday June 24

At 11:38 p.m., troopers arrested Samantha Caimano, 20, of 55 South Main St., Coventry, on a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear for the ability to pay on the charge of shoplifting, originating out of North Kingstown Police Department.

The arrest a result of a motor vehicle stop on Sandy Lane, Warwick. Caimano was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institute Women’s Intake Center.

Thursday, June 26

At 2:50 p.m., Troopers arrested Byron Aguilar,  34, of 54 Erastus St., Providence, on a 6th District Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on the original charge of domestic simple assault from the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.

At 5:15 p.m., troopers arrested Gregory Leonard, age 46, of 160 Woonasquatucket Ave., North Providence, on a 6th District Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear for restitution review on the original charge of larceny from the Providence Police Department. Arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in the City of Warwick.

Leonard was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and later released by a Justice of the Peace after posting the required cash bail.

At 8 p.m., troopers arrested Ben Son, 48, of 77 Moore St., Providence, on an affidavit and arrest warrant from the Providence Police Department for simple domestic assault.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 37 in Warwick. Son was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and later turned over to the Providence Police Department.

At 10:01 p.m., troopers arrested Helder Jose Carlos, age 33, of 150 Sterry St., Pawtucket, Rhode Island on a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear for ability to pay on an original charge of possession of marijuana – 1st offense, from the Central Falls Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick. Carlos was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institute Men’s Intake Center.

Friday June 27

At 3:36 a.m., troopers arrested Alexander Noncent, age 22, of 27 Desoto Street, Providence, on a Sixth District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for ability to pay on the original charge of driving under the influence – BAC unknown, originating out of the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of troopers assisting a disabled motor vehicle on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. Noncent was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institute Men’s Intake Center.

DETECTIVES: Warwick Police, Troopers Make Child Porn Possession Arrest

Wednesday, June 25

Members of the Computer Crimes Unit / Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force arrested Soulesene Vongkaysone, 37, of 15 Aborn St., Warwick, for possession of child pornography.

The investigation was initiated by the Warwick Police Department after being contacted by a social worker that had contact with Mr. Vongkaysone. The Warwick Police Department referred the investigation to their officer assigned to the Rhode Island State Police ICAC Task Force. A court authorized search of a laptop computer used by Mr. Vongkaysone identified images of alleged child pornography.

A person found guilty of Possession of Child Pornography may be subject to a fine of not more than five thousand dollars ($5,000), or imprisoned not more than five (5) years, or both.

Vongkaysone was arraigned in Third Division District Court before the Honorable William C. Clifton and released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail with special conditions including no access to the Internet and no contact with children.
