Trooper Log: Man Flees Stop and a Disorderly Block Island Ferry Party

Editor’s note: The following Warwick, RI arrests between July 1 and July 8  were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

Lincoln Woods Barracks:

On Thursday, July 3, at 7:40 p.m., troopers arrested Lauren C. Parenteau, 24, of 136 Reynolds Ave., Warwick, RI for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for the Ability To Pay on the original charge of larceny.

On Saturday, July 5, at 2:26 a.m., troopers arrested Justin Tallo, age 24, of 36 Grocus Street Warwick for: 1) assault with a deadly weapon 2) driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor / drugs – refusal, 2nd offense 3) obstructing a police officer 4) eluding a police officer in a motor vehicle 5) operating on a suspended license and 6) reckless driving.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Reservoir Avenue in the City of Cranston. The suspect fled after the initial stop, striking but not injuring a trooper with the vehicle. Tallo was located in the area minutes later after fleeing from the vehicle. The suspect was held overnight pending a morning arraignment.

Wickford Barracks:

At 9:27 p.m., July 5, troopers arrested Olinda B. Jarvis, 65, of 7 Ansel Avenue, Providence, charging him with driving under the influence – BAC .15 or greater (Phase I – .214; Phase II – .224).

The arrest was the result of Troopers observing a vehicle stopped on the sidewalk on Post Road in the City of Warwick. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and later transported to Headquarters to await morning arraignment.

Hope Valley Barracks:

At 2:40 p.m. July 5, troopers arrested Victoria Colapietro, age, 19, of 271 Channel View, Warwick, RI for Disorderly Conduct. The arrest was the result of troopers responding to a disorderly party on the Block Island ferry. The subject was transported to New Shoreham Police Department and summons to appear in Fourth District Court for arraignment.

At 5:06 a.m. July 5, troopers arrested Roosevelt Miranda, age 24, of 871 Warren Avenue Brockton, MA for 1.) Disorderly Conduct and 2.) Reckless Driving.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 south in the City of Warwick. Miranda was transported to Hope Valley Barracks, processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment.

Hope Valley Barracks: 

At 4:45 p.m. July 6, troopers arrested Brian Raymond, age 25, of 19 Jodoin St., West Warwick, RI for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for the Ability to Pay on the original charge of Reckless Driving originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Pilgrim Avenue in the Town of Coventry. Raymond was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, posted the cash bail and was released.

Wickford Barracks:

On Sunday July 6, 2014, At 4:45 p.m., troopers arrested Derek Gwozdz, age 43, of 57 Little Field St., Apt. 1, Pawtucket, Rhode Island for 1. Driving Under the Influence 2. Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95, Warwick following 911 calls reporting an erratic driver. Gwozdz was transported to Wickford Barracks, processed, and held overnight as a bail and parole violator.

Hope Valley Barracks:

At 5:45 p.m. July 8, troopers arrested Kevin Dambrosco, age 31, of 37 Polly Avenue, Danielson, CT for a Third District Court bench warrant for failure to appear/ ability to pay on an original charge of Vandalism out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of Exeter. Dambrosco was transported to State Police Hope Valley Barracks, processed, and later transported to the ACI- Men’s Intake Center.
