Warwick, RI – Rhode Island State Police made several Warwick-related arrests this week including a number of people who missed court dates and a man wanted in several towns for felony shoplifting.

Traffic stop nabs court scofflaw on suspended license charge On Wednesday May 4, at 12:58 a.m., Trooper Kenneth Marandola arrested Zachary Crabill, 23, of 36 Waldo Road, Warwick, on an active Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Payment Review on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License out of the West Warwick Police Department.

 

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Providence Street in the Town of West Warwick. The subject was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, processed and transported to the Adult Correctional Facility – Men’s Intake.

Troopers arrest man wanted on several felony shoplifting warrants On May 3, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Jeffrey Cantagallo, 49, of 1 Quarry St. 2nd Floor, Providence, Rhode Island, on the following charges: 1) RISP Arrest Warrant for Fraud; 2) 32-F Violation for Failure to Appear for Payment Review on a charge of Felony Shoplifting by Coventry Police; 3) 32-F Violation, AG Request, on a charge of Felony Shoplifting by North Smithfield Police ; 4) 32-F, AG Request, on a charge of Felony Shoplifting by Warwick Police ; 5) 32-F, AG Request, on a charge of Felony Shoplifting by Coventry Police; and 6) District Court Capias for Failure to Appear on a charge of Suspended License by RISP Lincoln.

Cantagallo was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and turned over to Superior and District Court officials.

Traffic stop collars man for missing court on drug possession charge At 11:50 p.m. May 5, troopers arrested Jonathan Caba, 22, of 221 Dora St., Providence Rhode Island for a Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on the original charge of Manufacturing/Delivery/ Possession of a Schedule V Controlled Substance out of the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Bald Hill Road in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and released.

Crash ends in arrest for missing court date on suspended license charge At 11 a.m. May 5, Troopers arrested David Turner, 46, of 3 Sundance Ave., Warwick, RI for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Payment Review on the charge of Driving After Suspension of License originating out of State Police Hope Valley Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident on Rte. 95 the City of Pawtucket.

Warwick woman arrested for missing court on charge of obtaining money falsely On May 4, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Stephanie Theberge, 25, of 189 Irving Road, Warwick, on the following Kent County Superior Court Warrants: 1) Failure to Appear; 2) Failure to Appear on a charge of Larceny; 3) Failure to Appear on a charge of Obstruction; and 4) Failure to Appear on a charge of Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses.

Theberge was processed at the State Police Wickford Barracks and turned over to authorities at Kent County Superior Court.

Traffic stop nabs man skipping court on DUI charge At 11:17 p.m. May 6, troopers arrested Donald Smith, 28, of 70 Griffin Drive, Warwick Rhode Island for 1.) a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving on a Suspended License out of the Glocester Police Department and 2.) a Fourth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving Under the Influence – First Offense out of the North Kingstown Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Main Avenue in the City of Warwick. Smith was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, processed and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake.
