State Police Arrests: Rte. 95 Crash, DUI, Failure to Register as Sex Offender

WARWICK, RI —  Arrests in the RI Trooper Log between May 4 and May 10 in, nearby and involving Warwick included arrests for DUI, failing to register as a sex offender and banking law violations:

Rte. 95 crash ends in warrant arrest At 11:47 a.m. May 8, trooper R. Fox arrested James Fritsche, 22, of 7 Young Ave., Apt. #1, Providence, Rhode Island, for Violation of a No Contact Order. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident investigation on Rte. 95 in Warwick.

Fritsche was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and turned over to Third District Court for arraignment.

Erratic operator reports alert troopers to DUI arrest At 4:24 p.m. May 9, troopers arrested Joseph Guilmette, 34, of 101 Haverhill Ave., Warwick, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor or Drugs – 1st Offense / B.A.C. Unknown and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of multiple 911 calls for an erratic operator on Route 95 South in the City of Warwick, and Troopers subsequently locating the vehicle. Subject was transported to Kent County Hospital where he was misdemeanor released pending his Third District Court Arraignment date.

Troopers arrest man for failing to register as sex offender At 1:30 p.m. May 10, troopers arrested Michael Tardie, 34 of 3 Birchview Drive, Cranston, Rhode Island for 1.) Active Affidavit Arrest warrant on the original charge of Failure to Register as a Sex offender originating from the Cranston Police Department and 2.) Active Affidavit Arrest warrant on the original charge of Violation of No Contact Order originating from the Westerly Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Wallace Avenue, in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and turned over to the Cranston Police Department.

Troopers arrest woman for missing court on banking law charge On May 10, members of the Financial Crimes Unit arrested Tina N. Harris, 38, of 97 Alverson Ave., Third Floor, Providence, Rhode Island, on a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Review on an original charge of Violation of Banking Laws originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

Harris was processed at the Wickford Barracks and turned over to Third Division District Court officials.
