WARWICK, RI — Warwick arrests in the RI Trooper Log Sept. 8 – 13 involved charges for road rage-inspired reckless driving, child porn, felony domestic assault, DUI, and a man wanted in Massachusetts for larceny and in RI for grand theft.
Here are the basics on those RI State Police Warwick arrests: Missed court, expired license On Sunday, Sept. 8 at 3:03 p.m., troopers arrested Brendon Kline, 25, of 1635 Main St., West Warwick, Rhode Island, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on the original charge of Driving with Suspended/Revoked/Canceled License, originating out of the Warwick Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on New London Avenue in the Town of West Warwick. Mr. Kline was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released.
Child Porn possession, transfer On Sept. 10, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Thomas Fontaine, age 39, of 61 Ninigret Street, Warwick, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession of Child Pornography; and 2) Transfer of Child Pornography. Mr. Fontaine was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and to Third District Court for arraignment. The Honorable Associate Judge Dubois set $5,000 surety bail with special bail conditions of restricted Internet access and no unsupervised contact with minors.
Wanted in MA for larceny, missed court on grand theft On Sept. 10, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Massachusetts Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section arrested Charles H. Pruenca, age 54, of 268 Metro Center Boulevard Room 304, Warwick, Rhode Island, on the following: 1) Fugitive from Justice from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for Felony Larceny; 2) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on an original charge of Obtaining Money under False Pretenses originating from the State Police; 3) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on an original charge of Grand Theft originating from the State Police; and 4) Washington County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on an original charge of Embezzlement originating from the State Police.
Pruenca was taken into custody without incident, transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Center and later arraigned as a Fugitive from Justice in Providence County District Court.
Road rage, reckless driving At 10:01 AM, Troopers arrested Tina Verria, age 42, of 100 Cottage Grove Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Reckless Driving – First Offense, and 2.) Disorderly Conduct. The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to a road rage incident and a subsequent motor vehicle accident on Route 95, in the City of Cranston. Verria was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed and later transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment.
Felony Assault/Domestic Strangulation At 12:30 p.m. Sept. 11, troopers arrested Jonathan Winston, 30, of 1726 Carriage Run CT, Fresno, Texas, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for 1.) Felony Assault Domestic Strangulation and 2.) Domestic Violence Simple Assault originating out of the Providence Police Department. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Bald Hill Road, in the City of Warwick. Winston was processed at the Wickford Barracks, and later transported to the Providence Police Department.
Disorderly conduct, resisting arrest On Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024 at 11:20 a.m., troopers arrested Zackery Garcia, 31 of 33 Scranton Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island for 1) Disorderly Conduct and 2) Resisting Arrest.
The arrest, one of several Warwick arrests, was the result of troopers responding to Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal and taking custody of Garcia. Garcia was processed at State Police – Headquarters and later transported to Third Division District Court.

Reckless Driving, Forged Plates At 9:25 p.m. Sept. 13, troopers arrested Arron Walsh, 42 of 77 Aberdeen Street West Warwick, Rhode Island on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant originating out of the Wickford Barracks for 1.) Reckless Driving/ Drag racing/ Eluding Police- 1st Offense, 2.) Forgery and Counterfeiting of Registration Plates, and 3.) Obstructing Officer in Execution of Duty.
The arrest, among several Warwick arrests this week, was a result of a Barracks investigation and Troopers locating Walsh at his place of business in Warwick. Walsh was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and then transported to Third Division District Court for his arraignment.
Jamestown stop, DUI At 10:32 p.m. Sept. 13, troopers arrested Christopher Reynolds, 31, of 3 Spring Street Apt #2, West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor – BAC Unknown – 1st Offense, 2.) Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test – 2nd Offense, and 3.) Ignition Interlock System Required – 1st Offense.
The arrest, among several Warwick arrests this week was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 138 in the Town of Jamestown.
Reynolds was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult with a future Second District Court date.
This is a test
