WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests  March 5 – 12 concerning Warwick involved charges for reckless driving, hit & run, a missed hearing, and driving with a suspended license.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police arrests:

Reckless driving At 8 p.m. March 9, troopers arrested Nathaniel Gonzalez, 30, of 133 Stansbury St., Apt. #2, Providence, Rhode Island, for an active Affidavit and Arrest Warrant originating out of the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks on the original charges of 1) Reckless Driving and 2) Obstructing an Officer in the Execution of Duty.

The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and the Warwick Police Department taking Gonzalez into custody. Gonzalez was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released pending a future Sixth District Court date.

Hit & Run, Illegal weapon At 4:45 p.m. March 9, troopers arrested Rian Diaz, 31, of, 47 Cleveland St., South Kingstown, Rhode Island for 1.) Duty to Stop in Accident Resulting in Damage to Attended Vehicle and 2.) Weapons Other Than Firearm (2 counts).

The arrest was the result of a hit and run accident on Route 95 in the City of Warwick and Troopers subsequently locating the vehicle. Diaz was processed at the Wickford Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released pending a future court date.

Driving with Suspended License At 10:31 a.m. March 10, troopers arrested Jake Cabral, 27, of 589 Providence St., Warwick, Rhode Island for 1) Driving After Suspension of License – Certain Violations.

The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue, in the City of Warwick. Cabral was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and transported to the ACI- Men’s Intake Center.

Missed court, shoplifting charge At 3:26 a.m. March 12, troopers arrested Charlene H. Jones, 55, of 85 Glendale Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island, on a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Technical Violation Hearing on the original charge of Shoplifting originating out of the Lincoln Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Washington Street in Providence. The subject was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks, where she was processed and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Women’s Intake Center.

Traffic stop, Family Court warrant At 4:28 p.m. March 12, troopers arrested Kyle Dimeglio, 28, of 22 Alvero Road, Coventry, RI on a Family Court Reciprocal Body Attachment.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in the City of Warwick. Mr. Dimeglio was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institute -Men’s Intake Center.
