WARWICK, RI — Officer Ryan Costa arrested a suspended license driver involved in a crash at 355 Hardig Road Feb. 16 at 2:45 p.m., finding three previous convictions for the offense on his record.

Costa responded to the Hardig Road address, near 777 Cowesett Road, for a report of a crash, and identified one of the cars involved, a black 2006 Ford Freestyle, as David G. Carter, 32, of 8 Bagley St., Apt. 1, Pawtucket, RI, according to the officer’s report.

Costa reported that routine checks revealed the car’s registration was suspended, as was Carter’s driver’s license. A further check showed Carter had previously been convicted for driving with a suspended license three previous times since 2011. Carter’s serial unlicensed driver convictions occurred March 4, 2011; June 8, 2017, and on Jan. 19, 2022.

Costa arrested Carter and transported him to Warwick Police Headquarters, 99 Veterans Memorial Drive, where he was charged with driving with a suspended license, fourth offense.
