RI Trooper Log: Warrants Served on Shoplifting, Robbery, Drug Charges

Warwick, R.I. — Traffic stops helped RI State Police collar a man wanted on drug and robbery charges and one wanted for driving with a suspended license, and troopers also arrested one woman wanted on several shoplifting-related warrants this week.

Driver arrested on drug possession, robbery warrants At 9:24 a.m. March 8, Troopers Brisson and Gaucher arrested Michael Rickie, 29, of 138 Shadow Brook Drive, Warwick, charging him with: 1.) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant on a charge of Possession of Schedule I – V Control Substance, originating out of Cranston Police Department, 2.) Providence Superior Bench Court Warrant on a charge of First Degree Robbery, originating out of Warwick Police Department, and a 3.) Third Division District Bench Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Attempt to Pay on an original charge of Driving with Suspended License, originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and turned over to Third Division District Court.

Woman arrested on several shoplifting-related warrants On March 8, members of the Rhode Island State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Rhonda Pari, 56, of 160 Warwick Ave., Cranston, charging her with: 1) Superior Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on a charge of Felony Shoplifting by Cranston Police; 2) Superior Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on a charge of Felony Shoplifting by Warwick Police; 3) Superior Court Warrant for Technical Violation on a charge of Felony Shoplifting by Providence Police; and 4) District Court Capias for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial Conference on a charge of Misdemeanor Shoplifting by Cranston Police.

Pari was turned over to officials at Providence Superior Court.

Suspended license court scofflaw arrested after traffic stop At 7 a.m. March 11, troopers arrested David D’Angelo, 58, of 177 Medford St., Warwick, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Scituate Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. D’Angelo was transported to the Wickford Barracks and later turned over to Third District Court.
