RI Trooper Log: Synthetic Drug Bust at Motel 6; Fraud, DUI Arrests

Traffic stop nabs New Yorkers on fraud charges On Sept. 29, at 11:30 a.m., troopers arrested Gabriel Edmund, 25, of 1570 East 102nd Street Brooklyn, New York, charging him with: 1) Credit Card Theft-Obtaining Credit Card Through Fraudulent Means 2) Possession of False Identification.

Troopers also arrested Travis Marion, 24, of 1610 East 102nd Street Brooklyn, New York for 1) Conspiracy to Commit Fraud 2) Obstruction of a Police Officer 3) Driving without a License.

The arrests were the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 117 in Warwick.

Marion was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and turned over to Third District Court. Edmund was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and turned over to Third District Court.

Erratic driver report ends with DUI arrest On Sept. 30, at 4:22 p.m., troopers arrested Jesus Contreras Cruz, 50, of 89 Lonsdale Street, Apt #9, West Warwick, Rhode Island, charging him with: 1) Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and/or Drugs – 1st Offense BAC Unknown 2) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of call to the Wickford Barracks for an erratic operator on Rte. 95 in Warwick and a subsequent motor vehicle stop. Cruz was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, and held overnight pending morning arraignment where he will be presented as a probation violator at 3rd District Court.

Troopers arrest man on synthetic drug charges at Motel 6 On Oct. 2, at 3:02 a.m., troopers arrested Fred Hebshie, 38, of 6 Leisure Lane, South Easton, Massachusetts for 1) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Possession of Synthetic Narcotics/Selling originating out of State Police Headquarters, 2) Possession of Schedule I-V (Synthetic Narcotics).

The arrest was the result of Troopers checking suspicious activity at the Motel 6 on Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick. Hebshie was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment at 6th District Court.

Warwick man arrested for DUI on Rte. 95 in West Greenwich At 8:22 p.m., troopers arrested David Derderian, 37, of 454 Algonquin Drive, Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – 1st Offense – BAC Unknown, 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – 1st Offense, 3.) Reckless Driving, and 4.) Vandalism/Malicious Damage – Injury to Property.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of West Greenwich. Dederian was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks, processed and held pending morning arraignment.
