Editor’s note: The following RI arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

RI Trooper Log arrests state-wide March 17 through March 18 involved RI St. Patrick’s DUIs late St. Patrick’s Day and the following morning.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police arrests, in addition to earlier-reported Warwick-related DUI arrests:

DUI, Johnston stop At 8:03 p.m. March 17, troopers arrested David Bassett, 56, of 17 Warren Ct., Cranston, Rhode Island for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – B.A.C Unknown – First Offense and Refusal Submit to a Chemical Breath Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 6 East in Johnston. Bassett was transported back to Operation Blue Riptide – B.A.T. Mobile, processed and misdemeanor released into the custody of a responsible adult.

DUI, Lincoln stop At 7:48 p.m. March 17, troopers arrested Adithiy D Singh, 44, of 8 Celebration Way, Johnston, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor / and or Drugs – B.A.C Unknown – First Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident on Rte. 295 South in Lincoln. Singh was transported to the B.A.T. Mobile, where he was processed, and misdemeanor released into the custody of a responsible adult pending a future Sixth District Court date.

Rte. 95 stop, Providence DUI At 2:40 a.m. March 18, troopers arrested Ethan Colloms, 26, of 57 Ophelia St., Providence, RI, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – BAC Greater than 0.15% – First Offense (Phase 1 – 0.300% / Phase 2 – 0.287%).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident investigation on Rte. 95 in Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and held overnight pending morning arraignment.
