Crash investigation yields reckless driving arrest At 7:19 p.m., troopers arrested Lauren Picard, 20, of 869 Namquit Drive, Warwick, for Reckless Driving.

The arrest was the result of a car crash investigation and subsequent arrest at subject’s residence. Picard was transported to State Police Headquarters where she was processed, arraigned by a bail commissioner, and released.

Troopers arrest parole violator On Sept. 9, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Edward Akinrinlola, 27, of 1585 Main St., West Warwick, as a parole violator.

Akinrinlola was turned over to authorities at the Adult Correctional Institutions.

Disabled vehicle check ends with arrest on warrant for driving without license At 12:54 a.m. Sept. 10, troopers arrested Andrea DiGiovanni, 25, of 338 Hill St., Coventry, on a Third Division District Bench Court Warrant for Driving Without/Expired License; originating out of Coventry Police Department.

The arrest occurred after a trooper checked on a disabled motor vehicle on Rte. 95 in Warwick. DiGiovanni was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution.

Traffic stop ends with arrest on warrant for missing court on Warwick DUI charge At 10:10 a.m. Sept. 9, troopers arrested Randy Velez, 24 of 58 Ashmont St., Providence, on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review for Driving Under the Influence, 1st Offense, originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Cranston. Velez was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to Third District Court.

Traffic stop yields arrest for missed court date on suspended license charge At 11:52 p.m. Sept. 9, troopers arrested Raymond Hunte, 25, of 113 Comstock Ave., Providence, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment for Driving with a Suspended License originating from the Cranston Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Hunte was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake.

Warwick man among 16 arrested for DUI during Labor Day weekend State Police arrested 16 people on DUI charges over the long Labor Day weekend, including Jeffery Goldberg, 65, of 1044 Main St., Warwick.

Troopers charged Goldberg with:

  • Driving Under the Influence – BAC Unknown
  • Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test

In addition to the DUI arrests, there were 61 other arrests on miscellaneous charges during the period from Friday, Sept. 4 through Monday, Sept. 7.
