Warwick, RI — Several drivers alerted RI State Police to an erratic driver who they later arrested on a DUI charge Dec. 23, the latest in a series of DUI arrests during the last week by troopers. Those related to Warwick are listed below:

Traffic stop ends in arrest of court scofflaw on shoplifting charge At 12:53 a.m. Dec. 21, troopers arrested Anayimi Ayeni, 19, of 102 Orchard St., Cranston, for a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Misdemeanor Shoplifting out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Richmond. Ayeni was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution- Men’s Intake Center.

Troopers arrest Warwick man on DUI charge in Providence At 1:53 a.m. Dec. 21, troopers arrested Joseph St. Pierre, 29, of Warwick, RI for 1.) DUI of Liquor or Drugs-1st Offense / B.A.C Unknown.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Atwells Avenue in the City of Providence. St. Pierre was transported to the State Police Scituate Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending a morning arraignment in Sixth District Court.

Warwick man among 10 arrested for DUI Rhode Island State Police arrested 10 people for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) over the weekend Dec. 18-20, including one from Warwick:

Joseph St. Pierre, 29, of 81 Airway Road, Warwick, RI

• Driving While Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor/Drugs-1st Offense – B.A.C Unknown
• Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test

State Police officials remind members of the public that they can immediately report dangerous drivers or hazardous roadway conditions to the police by dialing 911 on your cell phone.

Erratic driver reports lead to DUI arrest in Warwick On Dec. 23, at 12:55 p.m., troopers arrested Steven Clark, 53 of 34 Park St., Apartment #2, Lawrence, Massachusetts for 1) Driving Under the Influence of Drugs/Alcohol 2nd Offense, BAC Unknown and 2) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, 1st Offense.

The arrest was the result of multiple 911 calls for an erratic operator on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. Clark was transported to the Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and later released after being arraigned by Justice of the Peace Robinson.
