Warwick, RI – Rhode Island State Police made four Warwick-related arrests this week, including one that began as a report of an erratic driver and ended in a DUI charge and a controlled substance charge for possession of illegal mushrooms.
DUI Arrestee Caught With Illegal Mushrooms At 11:38 p.m. June 2, troopers arrested Christopher Duchesneau,18, of 126 Puritan Drive, Warwick, RI for 1) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs 1st Offense – B.A.C. Unknown 2) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test and 3) Possession of a Controlled Substance I-V (Mushrooms).
The arrest was result of a BOLO for an erratic operator and subsequent motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in the City of Warwick. Duchesneau was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released to the custody of a responsible adult.
Traffic stop nabs man wanted for missing larceny restitution hearings On June 2 at 10:26 a.m., troopers arrested Gary Benoit, 29, of 66 Johnson Blvd., Coventry, Rhode Island, for 1.) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the original charge of Larceny Over $1,500 out of the Coventry Police Department and 2.) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the original charge of Larceny Under $1,500 out of the Coventry Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Benoit was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and later transported to Third District Court.
Traffic stop ends in court scofflaw’s arrest On Thursday, June 2 at 9:47 a.m., troopers arrested Froilan Perez, 31, of 87 Hazard Ave., Warwick, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on a charge of Driving with a Suspended License out of the State Police Lincoln Barracks.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 6 in the Town of Johnston. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and later transported to Third District Court.
Stop leads to court scofflaw’s arrest On Thursday, June 2, at 2:51 p.m., troopers arrested Alyssa Anderson, 25, of 21 Crowninshield St., Providence, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on a charge of Driving with a Suspended License out of the Warwick Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Plainfield Street in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters where she was processed, arraigned by Justice of the Peace, and released.
