Editor’s note: The following RI arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests  March 5 – 10 involving Warwick included charges for DUI on RI highways and roads, and a number of warrants seeking people who missed court dates on various charges.

Here are the basics on those arrests:

Rte. 95 stop, DUI arrest At 2:20 a.m. March 6, troopers arrested  a Warwick woman for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor or Drugs-1st offense, 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test-1st Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in the City of Warwick. The woman was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

West Warwick stop, DUI arrest At 9:29 p.m. March 5, troopers arrested Michael Sugrue, 59 of 69 Fair St., Apt #7, of Warwick, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs-1st Offense, 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test—2nd Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Ottawa Street in the Town of West Warwick.

Sugrue was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks, processed, and held overnight pending a special arraignment by a Justice of the Peace, where he will be presented as a probation violator.

Missed court, controlled substance charge At 9:40 a.m. March 9, troopers arrested Lisa White, age 36, of 1020 West Shore Road, Warwick, Rhode Island on a Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Manuf/Del/Poss with Intent to Deliver a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance originating out of the West Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Lincoln Avenue in the City of Warwick. White was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and later turned over to Kent County Superior Court.

Rte. 95 stop, DUI arrest At 12:12 a.m. March 9, troopers arrested Edgardo Torres, 23, of 90 Girard Ave. Apt. #66, Newport, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – 2nd Offense BAC 0.15 or Greater (Phase I: .243, Phase II: .236). The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick.

The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third District Court where he will be presented as a probation violator

Missed court, credit card fraud charge At 2:11 p.m. March 10, troopers arrested Patricia Chivers, 36, of 22 Dunbar Court, Warwick, Rhode Island, for a 1.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Restitution Review on the original charge of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card originating out of the Cranston Police Department, and 2.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Restitution Review on the original charge of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card originating out of the Cranston Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Elmwood Avenue in the City of Providence. Chivers was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed and later transported to Providence Superior Court for arraignment.

North Smithfield stop, shoplifting warrant At 11:33 p.m. March 10, troopers arrested Michael Tunstall, 34, of 94 Bagley St., Central Falls, Rhode Island for: 1) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Misdemeanor Shoplifting, originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Eddie Dowling Highway, in the Town of North Smithfield. The subject was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and turned over to the Warwick Police Department.
