WARWICK, RI — Arrests in the RI Trooper Log this week in, nearby and involving Warwick included charges for DUI, missing court on a shoplifting charge, cocaine possession and hit and run.
Here are the details of those arrests:
Troopers arrest man on DUI charge on Jefferson Boulevard At 10:22 a.m. Feb. 1, troopers arrested Kevin Connors, 26, of 94 Armory Drive, Warwick, RI., for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor/drugs .15 or greater- Second offense (Phase I BAC = .170; Phase II BAC = .169).
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident investigation on Jefferson Boulevard, in the City of Warwick. Connors was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later arraigned at the Third Division District Court.
Troopers arrest shoplifting hearing scofflaw At 1:20 a.m. Feb. 1, troopers arrested Angelicia Gomez, 23, of 33 Pope St., Providence, RI, for: Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Technical Violation Hearing on an original charge of Shoplifting, originating out of the Warwick Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Valley Street, in the City of Providence. Gomez was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, and turned over to the Women’s ACI Intake Center.
Troopers follow hit & run car, arrest men for drug possession On Feb. 1, 2018 at 1:04 p.m., troopers arrested Brian Palermo, 22 of 14 Peterson Ave., Brockton, Massachusetts, for: 1.) Possession with Intent to Deliver and Manufacture a Controlled Substance Schedule I (marijuana); 2.) Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule II (cocaine); and 3.) Possession of a Controlled Substance / Schedule V (codeine syrup).
Troopers also arrested Shawn Clinton, 22, of 24 Church Green St., Apt. 2, Taunton, MA, for: 1.) Possession with Intent to Deliver and Manufacture a Controlled Substance Schedule I (marijuana); 2.) Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule II (cocaine); 3.) Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule V (codeine syrup); 4.) Driving Under the Influence of an Intoxicating Liquor and or Drugs 1st Offense B.A.C Unknown; 5.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test; 6.) Duty to Stop Resulting in Damage to Attended Motor Vehicle; 7.) Disorderly Conduct; and 8.) Driving in Possession of a Controlled Substance.
The arrests were the result of a suspect vehicle leaving the scene of an accident on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick and being subsequently located by Troopers. The subjects was transported to the Wickford Barracks and held overnight pending morning arraignment.
