RI Trooper Log: DUI, ‘Rolling Domestic’ Arrests

WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests  June 5 through June 17  concerning Warwick involved DUI charges from traffic stops on Rte. 95  and a domestic violence charge stemming from an assault in a moving vehicle.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police arrests:

Rte. 95 stop, DUI At 10:42 p.m. June 13, troopers arrested Michael Davis, 48, of 161 Armstrong Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs BAC Unknown, and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 North, in Providence. Davis was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned, and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Troopers arrest woman for assault in moving car At 8:36 p.m. June 15, troopers arrested Sharon K. Alessandro, 52, of 117 Laban Street, Apartment 2, Providence, Rhode Island, for Domestic – Simple Assault and/or Battery.

The arrest was the result of troopers halting a vehicle involved in a “rolling domestic,” an assault in a moving vehicle, on Rte. 295 Warwick.

Alessandro was transported to State Police – Headquarters where she was processed, special arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.

Providence Rte. 95 DUI On June 17, at 1:52 a.m., troopers arrested Stephanie White, 32, of 23 Yellowstone Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC Unknown – First Offense; and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident on Rte. 95 in the City of Providence. White was transported to Kent County Hospital for treatment and misdemeanor released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.
